Frequently Asked Questions
What to consider when choosing the right Harassment & Discrimination Training for Delaware
The DDEA HR 360 requires employers with at least 50 employees to provide interactive training and education to employees regarding the prevention of sexual harassment. Training must be provided within 1 year of commencement of employment and then every 2 years thereafter. Newly promoted supervisors require supervisory training within one year of employment as a supervisor.
Delaware’s HB 360 sets requirements for what must be covered in sexual harassment training, but it does not mandate a specific length of time. The law only requires the training to be interactive and to include certain core topics (definitions, examples, complaint procedures, anti-retaliation, etc.), with additional responsibilities covered for supervisors.
The most successful training programs give employees clear, realistic examples of how issues show up in daily interactions and what to do when concerns arise. Instead of relying on abstract rules, strong training provides practical tools, scenario-based learning, and guidance tailored to both employees and leaders. When the material reflects today’s workplaces, incorporates diverse perspectives, and is reviewed regularly, learners stay engaged and are more likely to apply the lessons in real situations.
