Job Description – Marketing Intern

At SHIFT HR Compliance Training, we are creating impactful e-learning training courses that help learners gain essential knowledge necessary to contribute positively to their organization’s culture. Our products are sophisticated, forward-thinking and supported by a dynamic group eager to provide clients with the best online training programs and attentive customer service.

SHIFT is looking for a motivated and savvy individual to join our team as a Marketing Intern. As the Marketing Intern you will assist the marketing team in many marketing and social media projects.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Manage social media accounts including content creation and implementation of social media content calendar
  • Engage with online influencers and thought leaders through social media to gain awareness for the SHIFT brand
  • Assist with research and execution of events, conferences, speaking opportunities and award submissions
  • Assist in collateral creation, ensure content is kept updated and organized in our database
  • Assist with email marketing and digital marketing programs
  • Conduct research projects including marketing research, competitive analysis and business opportunity research
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to enhance or develop marketing programs
  • Prepare presentations, conduct research to come up with needed examples and content
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING TO SHIFT:

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related Communications degree
  • Prior experience working/interning in a marketing or social media function is a plus
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of success
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, capacity to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Professional experience in social networking channels, such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, GoToWebinar, Autopilot, GoogleAdwords and Google Analytics is a plus, but not required

SHIFT is looking for an organized and driven individual to join our team as a Client Development Manager. As a Client Development Manager you will take a consultative approach in helping our clients develop a comprehensive program specific to their specific training needs.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Prospecting for new clients through networking, cold calling, marketing, researching and following up on leads from events and speaking engagements
  • Identifying potential clients, and the decision makers within those organizations, and setting up meetings to evaluate their specific online training needs
  • Planning persuasive client pitches that will speak to the client’s needs and objectives and convince them to purchase SHIFT’s online training programs
  • Continuously be presenting new solutions and services to the client to grow the business
  • Understanding the market and key competitors, in order to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Attending industry functions, such as association events and conferences, to network with potential clients on current market trends
  • Meeting and exceeding quarterly sales quota

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING TO SHIFT:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-5 years of enterprise sales experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Track record of success

SHIFT is looking for an organized and driven individual to join our team as a Client Development Associate.  As a Client Development Associate you will work with the senior sales team to help support existing client relationships, present a comprehensive program specific to their training needs.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Prospecting for new clients through networking, cold calling, marketing and researching new client opportunities
  • Identifying potential clients, and the decision makers within those organizations, and setting up meetings to evaluate their specific online training needs
  • Helping to plan persuasive client pitches that will speak to the client’s needs and objectives and convince them to purchase SHIFT’s online training programs
  • Understanding the market and key competitors, in order to identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Responding to new incoming inquiries and providing a comprehensive training solution
  • Updating and inputting clients into Salesforce CRM
  • Attending industry functions, such as association events and conferences, to network with potential clients on current market trends
  • Meeting and exceeding quarterly sales quota

  • 1-2 year sales experience
