WEBINAR: WATCH HERE
Inclusion in the workplace means different things to different people. For the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and/or Questioning, Intersexual, Asexual, Two-Spirited, and the countless affirmative ways in which people choose to self-identify (LGBTQIA2S+) community, it starts by properly using someone’s personal pronouns to establish respect and make them feel included.
But, are you aware what each pronoun means and how to properly utilize it? Or, what methods to employ beyond pronouns to make those that are part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community feel valued, respected, supported, and understood in your workplace?
Organizations have come a long way in the past decade making business-critical decisions about recruitment practices, employee resource groups, and messaging that embrace LGBTQIA2S+ rights. But, there is always more to consider to foster a sense of inclusion and belonging.
Join SHIFT’s Co-Founder and DEI thought leader, Katherin Nukk-Freeman, Esq., as she discusses:
- LGBTQIA2S+ community awareness and pivotal moments in history
- The critical importance of understanding pronouns: when, why, & how to use them
- Adversity the LGBTQIA2S+ community faces and their challenges and underrepresentation within the workplace
- What can be done to cultivate an inclusive work environment for the LGBTQIA2S+ community within your organization
- How to effectively address employee questions/concerns about correct pronoun use
We look forward to helping you obtain a deeper understanding of this topic and continuing to impact positive change within your workplace while creating a sense of belonging for all.
